Titjikala Arts will be at the Buy Blak Markets on Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th of April, as part of this year’s dazzling Parrtjima – A Festival in Light, to be held in Alice Springs.

An annual celebration of indigenous arts and culture held over 10 days, featuring stunning art exhibitions, performances, interactive workshops, music, film and talks from a variety of Aboriginal artists, Parrtjima is the meeting place where old meets new. It is the first of its kind authentic Aboriginal light festival, showcasing the oldest continuous culture on earth through modern technology – all on the 300-million-year-old natural canvas of the MacDonnell Ranges in Central Australia.

Each year, this free event celebrates the ways in which artists evolve and experiment with different styles and materials, while staying true to Country and culture.

Over the first two nights of the festival, the vibrant Buy Blak Markets offers festival goers the chance to explore and purchase stunning paintings, woodwork, prints, baskets, sculptures, and crafts from some of Central Australia’s leading Indigenous art centres. The marketplace will also showcase handcrafted jewellery, bush medicine, beauty products, and unique cultural experiences, celebrating the diverse talents of Indigenous artists and businesses from across the region.

Titjikala Arts will be there on both nights, offering artwork for sale from our established indigenous artists. Pop on down to our stall to see our range of vibrant and exciting desert art, celebrating the stories and history of the Titjikala region.
